Scotty Manning Among Six Employees Inducted into ELITE Hall of Fame

Six employees were recognized this month through Cascade Environmental’s prestigious ELITE program. The program recognizes top performers who demonstrate exceptional work performance and a commitment to safety, skill, leadership, performance, and accountability.

The 2023 inductees of our ELITE Hall of Fame:

  • James Smith, Field Supervisor, Cascade, Arlington TN
  • Scotty Manning, Construction Foreman, TerraTherm, Gardner MA
  • Brian Karshick, Driller, ADT, Mineola NY
  • Bill Beuning, Senior Driller, Cascade, Little Falls MN
  • Roberto Estrada, Senior Probe Operator, Cascade, Richmond CA
  • Marti Anderson, Associate Project Manager, Cascade, Flint MI

These inductees join 11 others previously named to the Cascade ELITE Commission which provides recommendations regarding operations, safety procedures, company strategy, and other related issues.

“Recognition and retention of top performing employees are critical to the future of the Company, and

thus, a top priority within the organization,” said Ron Thalacker, Cascade Environmental’s CEO.  “The ELITE program provides a clear path of succession and incentives for all employees.  Achieving ELITE status means these employees are the best of the best, exceeding the quality expectations of our clients, their peers, and their managers.”

Sixty-nine employees were nominated this year by their managers, senior leadership, and peers.   The selection is rigorous, consisting of an in-depth evaluation of performance recognition, tenure, safety, regulatory compliance, professional certifications and licensures, awards and recognition, and employee voting.

“Scotty is regarded as an exceptional leader and mentor,” said Jim Galligan, TerraTherm’s Senior Vice President of Operations.  “He ensures that safety, accuracy, and efficiency are never compromised on any site.  Scotty’s commitment to personal and professional growth embodies the values of the ELITE program.”

The growth and diversity of Cascade’s service offerings since the program was introduced in 2015 are reflected in each new class of ELITE inductees.  The first remediation specialist joined the ELITE class in 2018.  The 2023 class includes the first representatives from the ADT and TerraTherm subsidiaries and the first female employee.
