Geology: The Cornerstone of our Future

Join us for the 2022 National Conference in Marquette on the beautiful shores of the world’s largest freshwater lake!

This year’s meeting theme is “Geology: The Cornerstone of our Future.” Geology plays a significant role in today’s society and will become even more important in the years to come. Our reliance on basic resources and building materials such as sand and gravel for roads, limestone for concrete, iron for structural purposes, and other base metals for electronics and other applications will not diminish. In addition, the need for rare earth elements as well as reliable sources of fresh water are in high demand. We will explore these topics and more in what will be the perfect time to visit Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.

The conference will be held at the Northern Center at Northern Michigan University.
