Harwell, UK TESVE TCE Fractured chalk

The first application of Thermally Enhanced SVE in the UK, in partnership with Provectus Group. UK. Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA) Harwell site formerly licensed for chemical waste disposal. Chalk is heterogeneous fractured rock with relatively low permeability, high porosity. Results: demonstrated that heating significantly boosts removal of VOC contamination compared to conventional SVE. Team has successfully treated seven separate disposal pits.
